Day Tour Kandy Tea Factory Ramboda​

Kandy, set in the hills around an artificial lake 115km east of Colombo, is probably the most charming city in Sri Lanka.

In Kandy, visit the Dalada Maligawa, ‘The Temple of the Tooth Relic’. This famous Temple houses the Tooth Relic of the Lord Buddha, rescued from the cremation flames in 543 BC and brought to Sri Lanka in the 4th Century. The relic cannot be seen as it is encased within seven jeweled gold caskets, each worth a King’s ransom.

The next stop is at the Royal Botanical Gardens. See its magnificent Orchid House and the grove of splendid trees, all planted by eminent world figures.

Ramboda is a village in Sri Lanka. It is located within Central Province. The Wavenden Estate in Ramboda is the birthplace of British Admiral of the Fleet Lord Fisher, close to Ramboda falls.
